Today I’ll be locked inside a room writing until my eyes cross/bleed/fall-out. Hey, it could happen. Maybe. Anyway, this can only mean one thing… it’s iPod time! Music and writing go hand in hand, and this is the first song that popped up on my shuffle, so I thought I’d share. It’s just a segment of the song to maybe inspire you too. Or not. I love the photo. For some reason it reminds me of dreaming. Something simple, nice, and serene on the surface, but who knows what is underneath.
Glad you liked the photo Leigh, it’s one of my favorite’s for that very reason… you never know what’s lurking underneath! The photo I’m posting tomorrow reminds me of the movie ‘Ferngully’ for some reason. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂
The photo does have a mystical aura to it. It’s juxtaposed quite nicely with the subject matter. My CD player is currently set to Led Zeppelin because they are my “go to” music when I wanna get lost in the zone.
That makes me sound old doesn’t it? Maybe I should go with Jay-Z to be on the safe (and more importantly) “hip” side.

Ah you’re a Dylan fan. I must admit this doesn’t strike me odd, even though judging from your picture you probably aren’t as old as some of his children. I’m thinking mid twenties? To be young again.
Things come full circle in life don’t they? Things that were in fashion in the sixties seem to be making quite the come back over the passed few years. I’m too old for an IPOD, but I’ve got some Mozart playing today.
Thanks Hatter! (I think?) I grew up in a household that adored Dylan. My dad had an amazing record collection from the fifties and sixties that he finally passed along to me and my mother liked southern rock (and folk). Music was a BIG part of our every day life growing up.
I think artists like Dylan have staying power because of their lyrics. They pick subjects that transcend trends. The words he wrote back then are still true today. I admire him because he’s a writer first, and a musician second. He’s the best of both worlds.
And yes, I’m in my mid-twenties. Old enough to know a thing or two, and young enough to still be idealistic. Or so I’ve been told. 🙂
