Stay gold, ponyboy…

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Happy autumn! <33333333

  1. what a great picture! So my twinksquad sistah is a photographer AND a fantastic writer? SWEET. I love Robert Frost, BTW. I mean seriously, w/a last name like Frost, he had to be amazing. šŸ™‚

    1. Aww, thanks lovie! I like to dabble with pictures once in a while…okay that’s a lie. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LURRVE taking pictures. I’m like one of those crazed tourists snapping random weird crap everywhere I go. And how great is Frost?! I’d love to have been able to pick his poetic brain. šŸ™‚

  2. Put me in a room w/both Frost and Christina Rossetti and I’m likely to die from pure literary bliss. šŸ™‚ Love authors who have a lyricism that’s both lush and sparse at the same time. Wait till you read the poem I’m posting on Monday … it’s a wild one. LOL

    Have a good weekend, pal!

    1. OOOOOHHHHH I like the way you think! Add Neil Gaiman in there for good measure and I’d die a happy literary death! I’m so excited to see what you’ve got in store for us on Monday!!!!!

      Hope you have an amazing weekend, too! šŸ™‚
